NOBEL PEACE PRIZE FORUM: SCIENCE AND HEALTH DAY
See Paul Farmer and Malcolm Potts at Nobel Peace Prize Forum’s Science & Health Day!
Science & Health Day at the Nobel Peace Prize Forum is happening on March 9 in Minneapolis! This year’s program is the biggest and most dynamic in the Forum’s 25 year history, with a list of visionary speakers that includes medical anthropologist Paul Farmer, human reproductive expert Malcolm Potts, Nobel Chemistry Prize winner Peter Agre, as well as Nobel Peace Prize winners Muhammad Yunus and Tawakkol Karman. As the only conference of its kind sponsored by the Norwegian Nobel Institute, the Forum is a unique, three-day (March 8-10) event that brings professionals, academics, and students together to celebrate the work of Nobel Peace Prize winners and the achievements of leading peacemakers in human rights, business, and the arts, such as hip hop artists Brother Ali and Omar Offendum.
Friday, March 8: Business Day
Saturday, March 9: Science & Health Day
Saturday, March 9: Peace and Hip Hop (evening)
Sunday, March 10: Global Day
All programming takes place on the campuses of Augsburg College and the University of Minnesota West Bank, and each day is ticketed separately ($10 for students, $40 for the general public).
