Partnering for Health Equity:  Progress, Practice and Policy

A conference for CHWs, MNsure Navigators and Stakeholder Organizations

Registration and continental breakfast are available at 7:30 a.m. The conference program will begin at 8:15 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m.

Our one-day statewide conference, held in conjunction with MPHA’s Annual Conference, will build our knowledge, capacity and momentum to work together to achieve healthier communities for all. We’ll share lessons and best practices to help achieve health equity and improve health access through the engagement of community health workers including community health representatives, promotoras and MNsure navigators.

Our conference will include lively plenary sessions; informative breakout sessions of interest to CHWs, MNsure navigators, students, stakeholder organizations and those new to the CHW role; and well-deserved honors/recognition.  There will be opportunities for learning and networking across the day with healthy food and breaks.

The conference will also celebrate the outreach and enrollment accomplishments of MNsure navigators and their employers in while providing a forum for discussing results and identifying improvements for application during the next open enrollment period beginning November 15.

Directions and Parking

Please give yourself plenty of time to park given some street closures, one lane traffic, and limited turns due to the addition of Light Rail to Washington Avenue. Go to the Commons Hotel website for a map and directions: http://www.commonshotel.com/directions.aspx

You can park in the adjacent Washington Avenue ramp which has a skyway connecting to The Commons Hotel (this leads to the second floor where the conference will be held). There is also lower cost parking in the daily lots near the TCF Bank Stadium.
