How to get involved with MPHA

A great way to get involved in MPHA is to join one of our four formal committees! You can choose to spend as little or as much of your time on participating in ongoing committee activities, attending meetings, or assisting with one-time projects and events. Please click on the committee name for more information:

Communications Committee - Manage communications with members through a variety of communications tools.

Global Health Committee Promote awareness of and connections among international health activities occurring through Minnesota-based organizations and partners.

Leadership Development Committee - Help the MPHA Governing Council and Committees identify and nominate potential leaders in MPHA.

Membership Committee - Develop MPHA membership that is diverse, and substantial in number and in interaction. The committee focuses on membership development and recruitment.

Policy & Advocacy Committee - Responsible for gathering information about key policy issues and providing recommendations to the Governing Council on these issues on a monthly basis.

We also have a number of other special interest groups and committees looking for volunteers and input from members:

Contact healthequity@mpha.net to get involved.

Annual Conference/Meeting Planning Committee - Responsible for developing an engaging meeting theme, speakers, and activities that complement the required annual business meeting of MPHA and its members. Contact Ray Lewis to get involved.
