Considerable evidence shows that vaccinations have a significant public health impact, and that achieving herd immunity is a key strategy. Strengthening communities' protection from vaccine preventable diseases is complicated by vaccine hesitancy. While vaccine hesitancy is not a new challenge, there has been an increase in recent years.

In this webinar, attendees will hear about what the public health field can do in their professional and personal lives to productively address vaccination concerns and questions. Experts Karen Ernst (Voices for Vaccines) and Dr. Garret Jones (MN AAP) will share skills, considerations, and opportunities for us all to engage in this important work.

Speakers:

Karen Ernst
is a nationally recognized expert in vaccine confidence with a decade's experience in grassroots organizing around the issue.

Garrett M. Jones, MD
, is board certified in pediatrics, and his clinical interests include preventative medicine, asthma management and caring for medically complex children.
