Feb. 3 Second Harvest Heartland Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the MPHA! Volunteer events are a fun opportunity to get to know other MPHA members. At this event, we'll be supporting food security in our community by sorting and packaging food at Second Harvest Heartland's Golden Valley food bank. Hunger affects 1 in 10 households in Minnesota, and can have a tremendous impact on Minnesotans' health, happiness, and success.

We hope you'll join us! Let's work towards a community where our fellow Minnesotans have access to the food they need. Your enthusiasm, commitment, and passion for supporting the health of our community are a big part of what makes our association great! 

Here are some important things to know: 

• You'll need to arrive at least 10 minutes early in order to complete your registration. 
• For safety reasons, they require you wear closed toed shoes and remove all jewelry. 
• Second Harvest Heartland advises volunteers with food allergies to exercise caution when determining whether or not to participate in food packing.

Family, including youth, are welcome to join us. You will need to register each person separately. If you are registering someone under 18, please click here to read about Second Harvest Heartland's age requirements and to find the required waiver.
