"Communicating about Climate Change: A Health Perspective"

This webinar is sponsored by the Health Communication Matters (HCM) committee, under the Health Communication Working Group (HCWG) and Community Planning and Policy Development (CHPPD) section of the American Public Health Association (APHA), and the Society for Health Communication.

DATE & TIME
Tuesday April 7th

12pm-1pm CT

OVERVIEW
Public health researchers and practitioners interested in making change must communicate effectively with community members and policymakers. Join us for a conversation about strategies for successfully engaging these stakeholders with one expert who has implemented these strategies in their practice.

"Climate change is the greatest public health threat of the 21st century, but it is also the greatest health opportunity," according to the Lancet Commission. What, then, should our role as health professionals be in terms of educating and advocating for policies that not only mitigate the worst impacts climate change, but also provide resounding health co-benefits? Please join us for a discussion about how to frame the discussion in ways that empowers action.
