Local and Global:

What Can We Learn From Each Other?

…challenges in Education

Friday, November 5, 2021

7:45 - 9:30 AM

Virtual Zoom Event

Please join Minnesota’s public health community in these thought‐provoking breakfast conversations. In this first forum of this season's series panelists and participants will explore the local and global challenges of meeting the educational needs of our population across the lifespan. What should be our response to addressing the wide differences in educational achievement that exist?

Moderator:

  • Tricia Todd, MPH

Panelists:

  • Ellen Saliares, MPH, Director of Sexual Health Education at the Teen Annex Clinic, MPHA President-elect
  • Ramona Kitto Stately, Santee Sioux Nation, Project Director  at We Are Still Here Minnesota (WASH-MN), MA Education & Teacher Leadership
  • Elizabeth Allen, PhD, MPH, Assistant Professor of Public Health at St. Catherine University

The four forums we have planned for the 2021-2022 year will be thought-provoking explorations of the challenges we face in our local and global public health efforts. View the 2021-22 series flyer here.

At this time the forums will be planned as virtual events.  We will continue monitoring available information and will announce the return to in-person forum presentations on the MPHA website.

Zoom link will be sent in registration confirmation email.

Networking begins at 7:45am. Each forum starts promptly at 8:00am and concludes at 9:30am
