What Can We Learn From Each Other?

...challenges in a Coordinated Global Response

Friday, May 6, 2022

7:45 - 9:30 AM

Virtual Zoom Event

Please join Minnesota’s public health community in these thought‐provoking breakfast conversations. The final forum of this series will examine the public health response to the local and global public health crises we face. We will ponder together the question, “What can we do better?”

Moderator: Ken Bence, Past MPHA President

Panelists:

  • Michelle Heerey, MPH, Executive Director, WellShare International
  • Murugi Mutiga, PhD, MPH, Community Engagement Supervisor, Washington County
  • Halkeno Tura, PhD, MPH, MA, Director for Center for Health Equity with Minnesota Department of Health

The four forums we have planned for the 2021-2022 year will be thought-provoking explorations of the challenges we face in our local and global public health efforts. View the 2021-22 series flyer here.

At this time the forums will be planned as virtual events.  We will continue monitoring available information and will announce the return to in-person forum presentations on the MPHA website.

Zoom link will be sent in registration confirmation email.

Networking begins at 7:45am. Each forum starts promptly at 8:00am and concludes at 9:30am
