MPHA-at-Second Harvest Heartland
Join MPHA for an evening of volunteering at Second Harvest Heartland! Our team will help sort and repackage food at the Brooklyn Park office. Food repacking shifts are open to individuals ages 8 years and older. This fun volunteering event is a great way to give back to our neighbors facing food insecurity.
Number of volunteers are limited in this busy holiday season!
Please register by December 3; after that, registrations will be accepted if space allows.
Note you will need to create an account in Second Harvest Heartland's volunteer portal to register for MPHA's team.

Volunteer description:
At our Brooklyn Park Volunteer Center, volunteers assist with sorting, labeling, weighing and packing various food items to meet immediate needs and help feed our hungry neighbors. The projects vary from day to day and volunteers regularly work with fresh produce, dry goods, bread, and other food donations. This volunteer position requires volunteers to be able to twist and bend down, stand for the duration of their shift, and lift up to 5 pounds. Some positions require the ability to lift 40 pounds. We do have a limited number of seated positions available; please let us know if you need accommodations.
