High immunization rates are essential to preventing vaccine-preventable diseases. This conference will provide best practices and innovative ideas for health care professionals in Minnesota take our above average statewide immunization rates higher and maintain those gains.

This course is ideal for physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, community vaccinators, pharmacists, public health professionals, and anyone interested in immunizations!

 

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Following completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Describe recent changes and additions to the childhood, adolescent, and adult immunization schedules.
  • Explore strategies for using immunization information systems to improve immunization delivery.
  • Identify effective responses to the most common concerns that vaccine-hesitant parents and guardians have.
  • Create innovative messaging for promoting vaccination using traditional and new media.
  • Integrate practice changes to eliminate missed opportunities for providing vaccination at every type of health care visit.
