Dear Racial Health Equity Public Health Collaborative Members,  

This invitation is going to past participants of the public health collaborative between the Local Public Health Association of MN - MN Department of Health - MPHA and to an invited community partners.

We are so excited to be hosting an in person Racial Health Equity Symposium on Tuesday, May 14th, from 4pm to 7:30pm at the University of Minnesota Robert J. Jones UROC Center in North Minneapolis. We hope you all can join us for dinner, networking, and lend your expertise and voice to build upon a draft racial health equity plan that was started in 2023. 

We postponed this meeting in October of last year, in order to be intentional about our meeting outcome and the people that were invited. We found some additional opportunities to dismantle white supremacy and have intentionally incorporated that into the agenda.

You can help us by:

1. Providing additional names and contact info for community members who should be invited by emailing Chris Espersen at rhec@mpha.net. 

2. Reviewing the May 14th agenda and providing feedback if you feel something is missing.

Below is the high level agenda for the symposium. Please RSVP for this dinner meeting by completing registration  by Friday April 19, COB.

Public Health Collaborative Racial Health Equity Symposium

Goal: An invitation to join MPHA, Local Public Health Association (LPHA), MDH and DHS staff and leaders who developed a set of recommendations to address the racial and health inequities experienced by many in Minnesota.
